As 2024 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year of extraordinary progress and transformation at Leapfin. From groundbreaking product updates to welcoming incredible new customers, the past twelve months have been filled with momentum that has strengthened our mission to empower accounting teams worldwide. Here's a look back at the highlights of 2024.
Building an Unmatched Platform
Leapfin entered 2024 as the trusted accounting automation platform for fast-growing businesses, already powering vital finance operations for brands like Canva, Reddit, Help Scout, and SeatGeek, to name a few. This year, we doubled down on our commitment to scalability, efficiency, and resilience, achieving milestones that reinforce our ability to handle the most complex and highest-volume demands.
- In 2024, Leapfin processed 17.6 Billion transactions, generated over 44.2 Billion accounting records and a staggering 400 Billion journal entries.
- On our busiest day, Leapfin processed over 500 million transactions and generated 3 billion journal entries
- In a single hour, our system is capable of processing 30 million transactions and creating 325 million journal entries.
These achievements are made possible by our Connected Accounting Ledger. Purpose-built for modern accounting, our architecture links related transaction events to ensure compliance with accounting standards like GAAP and IFRS, nuanced company practices, and industry regulations like SOX. Leapfin’s unique approach remains unmatched in the market.
Innovation That Delivers
We’ve introduced several new features and enhancements this year, each designed to make the lives of accountants easier while meeting their evolving needs:
- Sandbox Environment: Finance teams can now safely test and refine accounting and enrichment rules in a secure, virtual environment – without disrupting production data or maintaining multiple instances.
- Advanced Access Controls: With enhanced rules-based access and custom roles, teams can manage permissions more easily and effectively.
- Advanced Reporting: Expanded reporting capabilities, paired with a new UI that improves usability, have earned rave reviews from customers.
- Meet Luca: We launched Luca, the first AI-powered reporting agent built specifically for accountants. With Luca, users can create and refine ad hoc financial reports – no SQL expertise required, and no waiting on busy engineering or data analyst resources.
Trusted by the Best
This year, we were honored to welcome fantastic new brands, including Mozilla, Gorgias, GoodRx, Outschool, and MaintainX, to the Leapfin community. These companies join the growing list of organizations who rely on Leapfin to:
- Solve high-volume, complex challenges around reconciliation, revenue recognition, and monthly close.
- Serve as their single source of truth for complete and standardized revenue data.
- Eliminate the grinding busy-work that slows accounting teams down and prevents them from engaging in more strategic, value-add projects.
We’ve also continued to solidify our reputation as the go-to resource for solving Stripe accounting challenges, publishing essential resources to help users integrate Stripe with NetSuite and solve tactical issues around things like reconciling credits, billing, and payments.
A Commitment to Customer Success and Relationships
Through new hires and improved self-guided onboarding plans, we’ve empowered customers to quickly adopt Leapfin with minimal handholding. From day one, our goal is to make every customer’s journey smooth and successful.
The relationships we build with our customers mean a lot to us. In November, we were thrilled to host a fun in-person event in San Francisco where we spent quality time with team members from customers including Poshmark, Strava, Eero, and more. We’re looking forward to hosting more in-person and virtual customer celebrations in 2025.
Thought Leadership and Community
In 2024, Leapfin further established itself as a thought leader in the industry:
- We published the inaugural State of Accounting Automation Report, uncovering the biggest barriers holding accountants back and showcasing the transformative impact of automation. Read our top takeaways in this blog post.
- Our popular webinar series, including Women in Accounting & Finance and Undisclosed, featured insights from top industry professionals like Lily Yang (CFO, Strava), Shawna Fisher (CFO, Help Scout), and Joe Blanchett (Director of Business Systems, SeatGeek), among many others.
Looking Ahead
Thank you to our customers, partners, and community for making 2024 an incredible year. But we’re not slowing down. Our commitment to innovation, transformation, and customer success is stronger than ever as we move into 2025.
So here’s to a clean close for the year. We can’t wait to achieve even more together.
